Southern Restorations is the business and lifetime passion of Brian Webster, preserving and repairing Antique and Heirloom Furniture.
Passion Project: The Southern Restorations Cooperative
“…although, the Cooperative was officially born in 2016, the relationships and shared passions that led to its formation began over 15 years ago, when Brian Webster joined forces with Alan Noel to grow a furniture restoration practice and started serving antique collectors and heirloom owners in the greater Atlanta area.
The clientele steadily expanded, and in 2009, Brian and Alan chose to find a larger facility and became A. Ross Noel & Associates, the original organization that 7 years later upon Alan’s retirement became the Southern Restorations Cooperative. Alan’s legacy lived on as he maintained a presence providing occasional guidance and expertise, but the day-to-day operations where led by Brian Webster fostering his dream to serve more market segments and growing needs in a 21st century way.”
My dream just was not to be in a large facility with a hand shake lease and no real solid future which ended up deterring the optimal talent I hoped to attract from committing to the dream. Throwing money at the operation was not the answer and I have finally realized the time and place for this dream is not yet right. I was continuously disappointed by the available Artisans and Craftsman I had assemble in house, but happily supported by many outside contractors I work with and referred often. I found it better for myself and my family to dissolve the larger operation and revert back to the independent service I best provide with my own diverse skill-set and passion to serve in a much more conservative environment closer to my home in Woodstock.
Sadly, at the end of March, 2019, I dissolved my passion project in Chamblee and returned to doing the business I love as just Southern Restorations, on my own with a select group of Independent Contractors I will continue to advertise for here and refer for projects I know they can be of service to my prized clientele.
Today, Southern Restorations continues serving the needs of the loyal and broad client base cultivated over so many years. After multiple back surgeries in 2019 and 2021, I work from a home shop and specialize in select projects of treasured family heirlooms, unfortunately, limited by size due to my new physical realities and workspace. I do provide occaissional onsite touch-up, repair and restoration of furniture and casework.
Check in often and let me know what we can do for you!
